What Is Electronic Signature Notarization?
Electronic signature notarization is a legal service in which a notarial institution, upon application by the parties concerned, provides notarial certification of the authenticity of electronic signatures, the process by which the signing act occurred, the signing time, the signed content, and the integrity of data messages.
Simply put, traditional paper contracts require signatures and seals before notarization; electronic signature notarization is the notarization of electronically signed contracts, powers of attorney, orders, confirmation letters, and other documents signed online to prove “who signed it, when it was signed, what was signed, and whether the document has been tampered with,” thereby strengthening the legal effect of electronic evidence.
